GET IT

It’s always good to see the outdoor industry forging ahead with new materials that are better for the earth. At the same time, some of the early eco-friendly materials don’t always feel the same on the performance level. But the Equation Series is made of eco-friendly material and feels as soft and stretchy as some of the latest wetsuits from the bigger brands.

You may have not heard of Picture-Organic yet, but now you have. This French-based brand now selling in the U.S. is based on the full snow/surf/outdoor/fitness lifestyle, a certified B Corp making good-looking, good-performing apparel and gear for those who are interested in everything the outdoors has to offer.

The clothes are unreal, their wetsuits are legit, and they are now available through many outdoor retailers domestically. This front-zip 3mm is constructed of FlexSkin technology—Picture’s “Eicoprene,” 30 percent of which is a synthetic foam that is not petroleum-based, but a mix of limestone and recycled tires with water-based glue. Their new Warmth Performance lining that is their warmest wetsuit lining of 3D-Knit construction traps air between each loop to insulate your body heat. This suit is extremely flexible, lightweight, and features recycled nylon, a Glide Skin neckline to eliminate chaffing, drain holes and all the seems are glued and blind-stitched.—Jon Coen, Men’s Journal contributor
